Cost of Education
As stated by the respective educational institutions the international students are required to pay tuition fees coming from non-European Union countries. Depending upon the choice of subject the fees vary.
SEK 129,000 per year (10 INR = about 1.3 SEK) is the average tuition fee for MSc. Besides, a one-time application fee of 900 SEK is also payable at the admitted university. SEK 8,370 per month is the maximum that is spent by the non-EU international students on living which has a slight difference from city to city.
Scholarships
Before the beginning of the autumn semester, international students can apply for scholarships in universities. Scholarships are granted for post-graduation coming from non-EU countries. Swedish Institute does not offer scholarships for bachelor’s degrees.
Internships and Job Prospects
Unlike other countries, the Government of Sweden has not mandated the maximum working hour limit. It implies that international students can work for whatsoever hours they feel like while studying parallelly. Interestingly, most MSc programs are coupled with internships.
International students looking to work post-study, can extend the residence permit for up to 6 months and search for a job. Students can apply for a work permit in Sweden once a permanent job is offered. English is predominantly spoken in many corporate companies in Sweden which is a plus point for international students.
